RED DEER – After two days of round-robin play, Alberta Grey sits atop the 2022 Alberta Cup standings with a 2-0-1-0 record.
Grey opened up the day with a 4-0 win over Alberta Green to remain undefeated, with netminder Ryan Grout posting his second shutout of the tournament as many starts.
Alberta Yellow won its second straight game, 3-2 over Alberta Blue, while Alberta Black skated to a tie once again, this time 3-3 with Alberta Green. Alberta Red capped off the day by earning its first win of the tournament with a 5-3 victory over Alberta Blue.
Round-robin play wraps up on Saturday with three games, starting with Alberta Yellow vs Alberta Green at 10am.
